Just picked up this beautiful Art Deco-style 2-ton Blackhawk floor jack and I'm hoping some vintage tool experts can help! 🔧🤔

It currently doesn't work. After removing the top cover, I found the reservoir completely dry, and there's a rod with what appears to be a worn seal that may be leaking. The original handle is also missing.

Now I'm torn—should I fully restore it, simply repair it to working condition, or preserve it as-is? And does anyone know its history or potential value?

Now I'm curious! It definitely looks like it had a specific purpose, but I can't figure out what that purpose was.
