I spent so many hours working on the first transition for this set and so many more looking for a song that fit. Only to use a song that I’ve had on my usb since 2022. The first two songs were the only part of this set that was rehearsed.

Sardis and I talked about letting the producers handle the fx, trusting your song choice to be interesting enough to not have to compensate with lots of delays and reverbs. My goal was to let the songs speak for themselves. It allowed me to enjoy myself more and gave me more capacity to dig for the next song. No fader cuts, backspins (🙅‍♂️), cue points etc.

The mantra I had when selecting these songs was “is this weird enough for Podlasie and does this sound good enough for Smartbar”. I can say a lot more about this as it’s my proudest work yet but I hope you listen to it and thanks for reading :)

Hello comrades I am here today to let you know I’m holding a fundraiser for my friend Clover who is currently recovering from top surgery.

✨The show is free at this Monday 3/2 from 8-11pm. Donations are encouraged to help them () recoup funds lost as they recover.
