The end of 2023 will mark the 30 year anniversary of MTR Metals.
I started this company because A- I was most likely unemployable by anyone else, and B- I felt certain there was a way to treat customers with the respect they deserve while also being lean enough as a corporation to provide them with the thing they most wanted. Quality material at considerable savings to Prime material from Service Centers.
I feel very good about our track record.
The question is never about whether there are problems. There are ALWAYS problems. The question is how are those problems resolved?
I was taught very early in my career from “Steel Veterans” that the customer is always wrong, is the real motto in the steel business. I knew even then, at 24 years old that could never be a sustainable attitude.
I think 30 years in business, through all the ups and downs in the economy and our industry tells our story better than I ever could.
Thank you to our customers who have continued with us through the years, as well as the ones who have moved on. You’ve taught us equally what it takes to be the best we can be.
