Chicago metal fabrication shop seeks an experienced painter for light-duty commercial painting. Steady 38-40hrs a week with occasional opportunities for overtime. We produce a variety of steel covers, grilles, and components for residential and commercial jobs that need to be painted with care and quality. Our products stand out when they are painted well and we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable employee that understands the practical and aesthetic importance of high-quality painting.

Duties Include:
Preparation of radiator covers, metal grilles, baseboard and convector covers, and other custom steel pieces for painting.
Prep work and finish painting.
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
Light assembly work where required.
Cleaning and maintenance of paint guns, tools, and paint booth.
Adherence to all health and safety precautions.

Qualifications:
Experience in an industrial/commercial painting environment. Additional training will be provided.
Knowledge of common painting tools and devices.
Ability to handle light physical labor associated with painting and moving product.
Attention to detail.

Compensation is dependent on experience.
