Capaldi Racing is Hiring at our Chesterfield, MI location.

We are looking to add help at the shop and at the track.

Open positions:

1. Race Technician / Shop & Track Support  
Looking for a technician with mechanical experience to assist with race car prep, service, maintenance, setup changes, loading, trailer prep, and trackside support. Experience with road racing, Mustangs, data systems, alignments, brakes, suspension, or race car prep is a plus.

2. Apprentice / Entry-Level Technician  
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn motorsports from the ground up. Duties would include helping with shop organization, cleaning, basic service, wheels/tires, fluids, parts prep, loading/unloading, and assisting experienced technicians.

We’re looking for people who are reliable, motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to work. Motorsports is not always easy, but it is a great opportunity for the right person.

Experience level: entry-level to experienced technician

Sunday Fun Day at Mid-Ohio. 🏁

Final day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with the Capaldi Racing Spec Focus and NASA Great Lakes.

This weekend was a special one, with the next generation of Capaldi behind the wheel, attending HPDE and working through the steps toward comp school and earning a competition license soon.

Always fun seeing one of the older builds back on track, turning laps, learning, and keeping the program moving forward.

Great people, great racing, and not a bad way to spend a Sunday.

Another day full of firsts with the B-Spec MINI Cooper at

Cold, wet conditions all day made for a challenging Saturday, but the MINI kept showing progress. It was also my first time on the rain tires, and they were awesome. The grip and confidence they gave in tough conditions made a big difference.

We qualified P3 this morning for Race 1 and brought it home P2.

Had a lot of fun racing with everyone at Waterford Hills and really appreciate the great competition.

Let’s see if we can do one spot better tomorrow.

Double duty race weekend for Capaldi Racing.

This weekend we’re split between two tracks, multiple cars, and a full mix of programs.

We’re at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with NASA, running one of our old Spec Focus cars and also putting the Dark Horse R to work for some testing. At the same time, we’re in Michigan at Waterford Hills with the B-Spec MINI.

From the Dark Horse R to Spec Focus, from B-Spec to club racing, this is what Capaldi Racing is all about… building cars, developing drivers, testing, learning, and staying active across every level of the sport.

Busy weekend. Two tracks. Three cars. Same mission.

Solid first real race weekend for the Capaldi Racing B-Spec at the Super Tour

Race 1 on Saturday was delayed slightly by storms and shortened to a 15-minute race in damp-to-drying conditions. We started P7, drove up to P3, and came away with the fastest race lap.

Race 2 grid was set by the fastest lap from Qualifying 1, Qualifying 2, and Race 1, which put us P6 on the grid. With no split start and out-of-class cars mixed in, we weren’t able to stay tagged onto the back of the B-Spec field, but brought it home P6.

All in all, a great first true weekend for the car. The MINI showed good pace, and we have a solid direction to keep building from.

We’ll keep working on the driver and roll into Waterford Hills this weekend ready to try again.

Full day of testing yesterday, then straight into Qualifying 1 this morning with the B-Spec MINI at the SCCA Super Tour.

We’re learning every session, making steady gains, and continuing to find more pace.

Qualifying 1: P7

Qualifying 2 is up next tomorrow at 8:00 AM, followed by Race 1 at 2:10 PM.

Time to keep digging.

The Capaldi Racing Mini Cooper B-Spec is heading back out for the SCCA Super Tour

We got our first taste with it at VIR, learned a ton, and now it’s time to keep turning this thing into a real weapon.
