The City of Chesapeake welcomes you to the Freeman Avenue Railroad Overpass Bridge Project Citizen Information Meeting. This Citizen Information Meeting is an opportunity for the public to review the proposed plans and provide feedback to the city.
This informational meeting is being held to provide an opportunity for any person, acting on his or her own behalf, or representing a group or a governmental agency, to give the city his or her comments and/or suggestions concerning the proposed project after reviewing the project information.
Representatives from the City of Chesapeake are present to discuss the project and answer your questions. It is the responsibility of the City to ensure that members of the community are afforded the opportunity to participate in public discussions on transportation systems and projects affecting them. The City of Chesapeake ensures nondiscrimination in all programs and activities in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The public comment period will begin on November 14, 2024, and close on November 24, 2024. City representatives will review and evaluate any comments received as a result of the Citizen Information Meeting. You can submit an online comment form during this timeframe. Written comments must be postmarked, emailed or delivered to the City of Chesapeake by November 24, 2024, to the following address to be included in the meeting record:

Chesapeake Machine Works, Inc. is a small family owned full service industrial machine shop located in Chesapeake, VA. We specialize in CNC lathe and mill operations, conventional machining operations, developing and testing prototypes, product design and surface grinding. We have been in business since 1987 and at our present location since 1993.
We offer full service product design capabilities. We can design, draw and manufacture parts to your specifications. We stock a variety of materials to insure that we have the resources we need to complete each job. We take pride in our work and have established a track record for meeting and exceeding the quality expectancy of our customers while still providing and acceptable turn around time. We are proficient in handling emergency or breakdown situations.
We are well rooted in the Hampton Roads area and serve a variety of industries in our area. We are happy to provide customer references upon request.
