We’re introducing Verdigris Valley Property Services, a new division of Harris Auction Service.

We started this with our auction customers in mind. Handling an estate or preparing a property for sale often involves more than selling the contents. There are buildings to clean out, debris to remove, cleaning to finish, and repairs that need attention. We want to help our customers get that work completed.

Verdigris Valley Property Services will offer cleanouts, property cleanup, junk and debris removal, cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance throughout southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma.

These services will be available to homeowners, landlords, realtors, farms, and businesses, as well as our auction customers. Whether you’re preparing for a sale, getting a rental ready, or maintaining your property, we’d welcome the chance to discuss your project.

We’ve welcomed so many new followers lately that we thought it was time to reintroduce ourselves!

We’re Teague and Erin Harris, owners and operators of Harris Auction Service.

Teague is a first-generation auctioneer who grew up in Hepler, Kansas, on a small, diversified hog and cattle operation. He graduated from Girard High School in May 2009, Missouri Auction School in June 2009, and Kansas State University in 2013. In his 17 years in the auction business, he has sold in several states, everything from million-dollar steam engines to twenty-five-cent chicks. Every auction has a story, and he enjoys being part of it.

The real brains of the operation is Erin Harris. Erin grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School in 2009 and Kansas State University in 2013. She brings years of experience in meat science and more than a decade of auction clerking experience. Her most important current assignment, though, is serving as head boo-boo kisser for our four kids!

The future of Harris Auction Service lies in those four children: Coy (12), Carter (7), Cayleigh (5), and Cayce (4). We’re proud to build a family business where they can learn the value of hard work, keeping your word, and treating people right.

NOTICE OF SELF-SERVICE STORAGE LIEN SALE

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the Kansas Self-Service Storage Act, K.S.A. 58-813 et seq., Harris Auction Service LLC, acting solely as auction agent for Scimeca Self Storage, will conduct a public lien sale of personal property contained in leased storage units to satisfy unpaid rent and other lawful charges.

10:00 A.M.

Units 12, 14, 21, 22, 30 and 35 will be offered at this location.

THEN PROCEEDING TO:

Unit 346 will be offered at this location.

SALE TERMS

The entire contents of each unit will be sold as one lot to the highest bidder. All property is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranty or guarantee. All sales are final.

Payment must be made in full with !!!CASH!!! immediately following the sale of each unit and before access or removal. No buyer’s premium will be charged.

A $50 refundable cleaning deposit is required for each unit purchased. The buyer must remove all contents and leave the unit completely empty and broom-swept within 72 hours of the sale. Buyers are responsible for all labor, equipment, hauling and disposal costs.

No property or trash may be left on the premises. Facility dumpsters may not be used without permission. The facility manager will inspect the unit and authorize return of the cleaning deposit. Failure to complete removal on time may result in forfeiture of the deposit unless an extension is approved by the facility manager.

Buyers must provide their own lock if one is needed during the removal period. Access to the units and any extension of the removal deadline must be arranged with Scimeca Self Storage.

Personal photographs, identification, legal papers, financial records and other private documents found in a unit must be returned to the facility manager.

If you cannot remove all contents within the allotted time, please do not bid.

The sale may be canceled as to any unit if the lien is satisfied before the unit is sold. Announcements made on sale day take precedence over printed material.
