•Position Summary
We are currently seeking a full-time Truck Driver to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. This on-site role provides transportation to and from various facilities. The ideal candidate is a safe driver, with experience securing and hauling steel products on flatbed trailers.
•Key Responsibilities
-Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
-Inspect and secure cargo to ensure it is properly loaded, and safe for transit.
-Safely operate commercial vehicle, following all traffic laws, speed limits, and road signs.
-Assist with unloading of goods, obtaining customer signatures to complete necessary paperwork upon delivery.
-Communicate regularly with dispatchers to provide status updates and report any issues or delays.
-Comply with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
•Qualifications
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating commercial vehicles.
-Hold and maintain CDL-A license, including current medical card, clean driving and criminal record, able to pass random drug tests to remain compliant with federal regulations.
-Preferably 3 or more years of experience hauling steel products.
-Excellent communication skills
-Availability to work long hours starting early in the morning
-Hold a high school diploma or GED
-Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
•Compensation: Commission percentage of loads hauled. Base hourly rate for PTO and Holidays.
