Congrats to Chris, Patty, Matt, Kristi, Lynn, and Andrea for completing yesterday’s Woodworking Fundamentals I class! They learned how to safely use the core tools of the wood shop to craft their cutting board projects, and now qualify for most of our woodworking and furniture making classes! Great job, y’all!

Alrighty folks, we need your help choosing the Best of Show winners from this years Pinewood Derby! We’ll give the following prizes to the three contestants who receive the most “likes” by 8 AM on Monday, June 15:

$200 Gift Card for 1st Place
$100 Gift Card for 2nd Place
$50 Gift Card for 3rd Place

We’ll count all likes, loves, etc on the pictures in the original post only, and the winners will be announced shortly after the voting ends on the 15th.

Here are a few pics from today’s event! We ended up having 184 kids come through the free workshop, 60 pens turned for troops by kids and adults, and 20+ pinewood derby contestants! Thank you all for joining us!

We’d also like to give a shout-out to our awesome team members and volunteers who’ve worked really hard over the last few weeks prepping workshop kits and conducting the event! THANK YOU!

They chose Hard Maple, Walnut, and Cherry, and all of the cabinets turned out beautifully! Thank y’all for joining us for the class and being patient with all our event prep interruptions!
