The Putt Club is excited to announce our upcoming hours. On Sunday, June 2, we will be open from 11:30AM - 10PM and operating with a limited menu. Monday, June 3 we will be closed. Tuesday, June 4, we will be open from 3PM - 10PM. Swing by and putt on our outdoor course. Our indoor course will be ready very soon! ⛳️ See you there!

We are blessed to have a ton of great clients and people we work with on a regular basis. Certainly on that list is The O'Brien Team with Jim Maloof Realtor. They are amazing and always a pleasure to work with. Even if it does involve 2 hour long zoning board meetings! 😁

(And no, Jared and I did not coordinate our shirts before the meeting. 🤣)

Who says Peoria County zoning board hearings for future land development can't be fun?!? We'd have it no other way! 🏘🏡

Do any of my friends have or know anyone who has high achool or college aged kids that may be looking for an internship this summer? Ideally someone looking towards the Engineering or Construction Management related field, but doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to this.

We are looking to hire 2 people to assist in our survey department this summer.

We would also be willing chat with anyone that may be looking for full time employment and may be interested in surveying. It would be an entry level position but we would be happy to train you!

You ever wish you met someone sooner, like a lot sooner? That’s how we all feel at AECI about this guy right here. Mr. Jeff Baggett, the GOAT. We have only had the privilege of knowing JB for 4 short years, but he has made a lasting impression on us all. Today is his last day working full time with us. He has agreed to work one week a month for the foreseeable future, and we will take all we can get for sure. Happy 75% retirement Jeff, you deserve the best retirement has to offer!

The Putt Club in East Peoria next to Bass Pro Shops is really moving along! We are very proud to have partnered with Turf Solutions Group on the design and layout of the 18-Hole scaled golf putting course currently being shaped by TSG crews. These guys are so talented! We can’t wait to play this course soon!

A little update on our cabin progress! Our team is working hard to finish each cabin and make sure they are perfect for our guests. With that being said, the first ten cabins will now be ready to rent starting June 1st and the following ten will be ready by July 1st. Our goal is for each of our visitors experience here to be exceptional so we want to make sure our cabins are ready to welcome you home this summer. We can’t wait to see you soon!

THE FOUNDRY SHOPPING CENTER, BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS

The Foundry is named for the site it sits on which is a remediated site from an old foundry. It is comprised of two buildings divided into five retail suites. Austin Engineering worked with Workbench Architects to meet traditional site requirements through non-traditional measures such as:

REDUCTION OF MAINTENANCE
The low maintenance requirement was met through careful selection of a decorative, flexible, permeable gravel pavement and planting materials such as drought tolerant native plantings and those which can also handle being submerged underwater. Additionally, layers of native perennials, shrubs and trees were used around the basins, parking lot medians and in the retail center courtyards.

CREATIVE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Detention basins were planted with native forbs and grasses to eliminate the traditional basin eyesores while also providing a sustainable element for the project. A permeable decorative gravel pavement was also used to help reduce runoff and hold stormwater on site.

PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY
Decorative gravel was chosen for its permeability and aesthetic charm and for its compatibility with bicyclists, joggers and wheelchairs. The design of the landscaping has an open park theme for families and individuals to find a safe and comfortable rest-stop right off the community bike trail.

VISUALLY APPEALING
The landscape architectural design offers seasonal interest and compliments the colors and style of The Foundry’s Architecture by using custom weathered steel planters, cinnamon colored exfoliating bark of maple trees, and large cream-colored flat top boulders.
