Meet the MVH600, Muratec's first automated vertical lathe, making its official debut at JIMTOF in Tokyo in just a couple of weeks.

Designed for workpieces up to 610 mm (24 inches) in diameter and weighing up to 100 kg (220 pounds), the MVH600 brings Muratec automation expertise to large-part vertical turning. With an integrated overhead gantry loader built right into the machine, it's another example of our commitment to Automation for All.

What do football and automation have in common? According to Muratec USA's Masatoshi Wakabayashi ("Waka"), it's all about teamwork. 🏈

A former football player in Japan and Finland, Waka has brought that team-first mindset to a global career spanning more than 30 years with Murata Machinery. From Japan to Finland as CEO of Cimcorp, our sister company, to the United States with Muratec USA, he has helped bring people together, build strong partnerships, and deliver innovative logistics and automation solutions for customers around the world.

As Waka returns to Japan later this month, we thank him for the many ways he has helped Muratec teams around the world move the ball forward. Watch the video to learn more his approach to leadership and teamwork.

The future of manufacturing stopped by the Muratec USA booth at IMTS.

It was a pleasure welcoming Turtle TEK, a Tech Challenge team, and sharing the many possibilities that exist in modern manufacturing.

Students explored our Integrated 3D Model of full factory automation with Logistics & Automation Sales Account Manager Jason Stahl, built custom flashlights with the help of Machine Tools Regional Sales Managers Jeremy Yount and Dennis Potoczak and Applications Engineer Joe Adams, and joined Content Specialist Jenny Hartley for a booth tour.

Muratec USA is proud to support opportunities that help students see the exciting careers and technologies shaping the future of our industry.

The students’ thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm were a great reminder of why it is so important to mentor and inspire the next generation of engineers, technicians, innovators, and manufacturing leaders. Thank you to Mavens of Manufacturing Ziemba for leading the charge!
