Today is the final day of The HPX 2026! The best part of this week has easily been the conversations. We’ve had a chance to talk with organizations of all sizes about the operational side of motorsports and where things are heading over the next few years.

Day two at The HPX and the conversations have been great so far!

What makes this industry interesting is that there’s rarely a one-size-fits-all answer. Two organizations can have the exact same problem on paper and need completely different solutions in practice. We already know the unique demands of motorsports, allowing us to focus on solving operational challenges and improving workflows from day one.

Race-day operations don't follow a script. A timing feed gets updated late, a credential list changes hours before gates open, or multiple stakeholders end up working off different versions of the same information. Schedules shift, information changes hands quickly, and decisions often need to be made without perfect clarity. The systems behind timing, scoring, credentialing, and event operations have to account for that reality every time they’re used.

There’s rarely a single “right” system. Some teams and sanctioning bodies need bespoke technology built around their exact workflows, while others are better served by integrating existing platforms that already do part of the job well. Most of the time, it ends up being a combination of both.

The real work is in understanding what’s already in place, what actually needs to change, and where flexibility matters more than uniformity. The goal isn’t to replace everything, but instead to build something that holds up when things get busy, unpredictable, and high stakes.

Scaling in motorsports is about doing it smarter, faster, and with less margin for error. It means more events, more personnel, more access points and zero room for systems that can't keep up.

As teams grow, so does everything else - more event, more personnel, more moving parts - and without the right systems in place, that complexity can quickly turn into friction.

When things like credentialing, staffing, and access are all in one place, decisions are made faster and with fewer mistakes. Automation and AI help take scaling further. Routine tasks that once required manual effort can now happen in the background. Approvals, updates, and compliance checks become part of the flow instead of a bottleneck. This reduces errors and frees up teams to focus on what actually matters.
