While you may want to enjoy yourself with a drink, be sure to be mindful of your consumption. Alcohol is detrimental to sleeping well. A common misconception is that because it’s a depressant, it helps you sleep, but that couldn’t be more untrue. Instead of allowing your body to restore itself, you’re shifting all of the energy to metabolizing the alcohol.

So if you’re going to imbibe, keep it to a minimum and give your body several hours to process it before bedtime!

Greek yogurt is a great source of calcium and tryptophan, which helps aid natural melatonin production.

Just be sure to stay away from the sweetened variety, eat 60-90 minutes before bed, and keep portion sizes small (200 calories or so).
