Alison Camut took some awesome action shots of us all working on our sculpture at the 10th annual Festival of Combustion! Me, Gruff Thomas, and even my daughter got in on the fun.

By the end of the 6-hour festival, we had welded over 500 pounds of scrap metal into a 7-foot-tall metal girlfriend named Carrie for our original Metal Man sculpture!

Next time you’re at Rivers of Steel, you might see our Metal Man handing her a large metal rose! 🌹

Evan Picinotti has been working with me for over 5 years, and he can finally enjoy the perks of his hard work! We built these modern railings for his new home and upgraded the porch posts to super-solid steel columns.

This set of railings was designed by the customer, an architect who was looking for a fabricator capable of making multiple bends in a single piece of steel to achieve a simple, modern design.

We enjoyed welding hangers for artist collective to help hang their public art piece “Surface Tension.” Their art work is currently suspended above the “Shore Thing” barge that is currently docked downtown.

The last few months have kept us busy! Here are some projects we were able to help bring to life with our art fabrication services for the 59th Carnegie International.

Today we completed one of our most ambitious and elegant handrails for a beautiful home outside Pittsburgh, PA. Spanning 50 feet of continuous railing, every weld was finished, and all seams were TIG welded on-site. We are proud to be invited into beautiful homes where our craftsmanship can be pushed to its fullest potential.

Probably one of the best mobile welding projects we’ve been involved with to date! We helped get this van off the ground using a fabricated skid and placed it on a custom stand designed to support this super cool 1960s Chevy van. Check it out when the 59th Carnegie International opens on May 1st!
