Notice of Vacation:
Hi folks! Firstly, a sincere thanks to everyone who has supported this business over the years since it was first started during COVID. And after 5 long years, we finally have an opportunity to take some time for ourselves and travel and see family this summer. As such, An Edge In The Kitchen Professional Tool & Knife Sharpening will be closed August 2025.

In the meantime, if anyone has any questions or would like to book a sharpening appointment for September, please feel free to reach out via email ([email protected]). However, please understand that response times will lag behind due to us being out of the country.

Stay cool out there, and we'll see you in a few weeks!

Have some older knives that you're thinking about tossing in the bin? Please don't!

Your grandparents weren't exactly wrong when they told you that, "They don't make 'em like they used to..." Which definitely tends to be true with Western style knives.

Having old knives sharpened and repaired is almost always less expensive than getting a new set of quality knives, is guaranteed to have results that are sharper than factory new blades, saves still-useful tools from needlessly going to the city dump, and allows you to breathe new life into items left behind by your loved ones.
