2018 Q1 FOOD DRIVE
Soft Tech Consulting Inc. continues with our charitable donations this quarter by making a donation to ECHO in Springfield, VA. ECHO provides amazing services including, Aiding families in emergency situations; Providing family guidance and assistance; Supplying transportation to adults and children for needed services; Providing adequate shelter for clients; Educating citizens with regard to social and charitable needs; Operating a day care center for children; Other lawful activities. Due the significant contribution they make to the communities in our area, we felt we had to make them a part of our Food Drive program. Soft Tech Consulting was honored to do the food drive for ECHO, in an effort to do what we could to help them with their mission: help the families in their community.

FANTASTIC!!!!! The Food Drive performed by the Soft Tech Consulting employees was another great success, bringing smiles to the faces of the Director and volunteers of the Crowder Owens Food Pantry in northeast Washington, DC. The delivery to Crowder Owens Food Bank brought great joy to the hearts of the Soft Tech employees as the donation was received and greatly appreciated. Thanks to the Soft Tech employees, we once again have had an impact on our area communities and those who are in need of a leg up, helping to make their daily challenges a bit easier. We're preparing for our next Food Drive and will keep you updated on our effort to give back to our community.

You get such a good feeling from giving; providing aid to those in your community; helping those who may be down on their luck. So once again the Soft Tech Consulting employees came together this fall and made our largest donation yet. This latest donation was made to The Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund located at 2614 Kenhill Drive, Suite 134, Bowie, MD 20715. The Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Aid Fund provides assistance to so many families in the Prince Georges area, providing them with sustenance that they otherwise may not have available. We made the delivery just before the Thanksgiving Holiday so our donation would be available for families, in time for the holiday, and hopefully making it a better memory for them. Thank you, to my Soft Tech family. Let’s keep up the energy and make our next food drive even better. By contributing to the food drive, we aren’t only helping families in need, we are also giving families hope for better times. The picture below represents our entire contribution.

Next we go to Washington, DC with our donation. Our next food drive will benefit the Crowder Owens Food Bank at 600 W Street NE, Washington, DC 20002. They’re website is under construction, but I obtained a list of items from them that they’re clients could use.

Non-perishable Food Items
Canned meats: tuna, chicken, salmon, ham, etc; Canned Vegetables; Canned Fruit; Canned Beans; Canned Soups and Stews; Canned Pastas; Boxed Pastas; Boxed Dinners; Pasta Sauces; Boxed Potatoes
Cereal; Condiments; Canned/Bottled Juices; Baby Food/Formula; Peanut Butter; Jelly
NOTE: Greater need is for condiments and canned meats since they don’t receive much in these categories.

Other Dry Goods: Paper Towels; Napkins; Laundry Detergent; Dish Detergent; Toilet Paper; Diapers
Adult Disposal Under Garments; Personal Care Items (regular and travel size)
New/Used Clothes (clean and in good condition): Men, Women, Children – clothes are given to the clients in need.

Soft Tech has a new member joining their team! Soft Tech employee Tyler Carter and his wife welcomed their new son Bennett on September 10th. Congratulations to the Carter family!

In June, we began our Second Soft Tech Employee Food Drive! We collected donations at our company picnic on June 18th and at our Chantilly HQ location. Due to the catastrophic devastation that occurred in West Virginia, the donations collected were sent to the West Virginia disaster relief through the Prince William Education Association (PWEA). The first delivery we made was on June 30th. We extended our collection of donations to meet the need in West Virginia and had a second delivery on July 7th. We want to thank everyone who donated and can’t wait to get started on our next food drive this Fall!

The Soft Tech Employee Food Drive successfully sent off more than 238 pounds of food to the Dulles South Food Pantry today. Thanks to everyone who donated to such a good cause!
