Coastwide Marine is hiring! We are seeking a motivated, entry-level team member to join our Louisiana operations. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and an interest in working in the marine/barge industry. Prior experience is a plus, but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
Job Title: Entry-Level Marine Operations Technician (Barge/Mechanical)
Location: Louisiana
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic mechanical tasks and equipment maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements:
- Basic mechanical knowledge (tools, engines, hydraulics, etc.)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Preferred (not required):
- Experience working on boats, barges, or in marine environments
- Background in diesel, heavy equipment, or oil & gas field work
