One of our fabulous beekeepers brought me a king’s scepter, so on the next trip the boys will be fighting over who gets to be crowned king of the hive 😂

But apparently my backseat drivers decided to clock out early… fast asleep on the job 😴

Meanwhile up front, I’m over here transporting royalty like it’s no big deal—listening for that soft piping and making sure every queen gets home safe.

Spring is in full swing here at Woods Bee Co. 🌸🐝

Between NUC pickups, checking hives, and helping beekeepers learn how to stay ahead of mites, the days have been full.

There’s something special about this time of year—hives are growing fast, queens are laying strong, and every sunny day feels like a gift.

If you’ve been thinking about getting bees this year, it’s not too late. We’re still taking NUC orders and would love to help you get started.

Yesterday was full in the best way 🐝

We kicked off the morning with NUC pick ups—always one of our favorite parts of the season, seeing new beekeepers get started and familiar faces back again.

Then we rolled right into 3 Mite Management sessions, getting hands-on with in-hive mite checks. There’s nothing like learning right at the hive—seeing, doing, and asking questions in real time.

We purposely didn’t treat a few hives so we knew they would have higher mite loads—giving everyone a real, honest look at what to watch for and how to respond.

Full day, full yard, and lots of good conversations around keeping healthy bees 💛

Yesterday was a busy—but fun—day here at Woods Bee Co. 🐝

We kicked things off bright and early at 6am with finishing up some NUC pickups, then rolled right into Coffee with a Beekeeper at 9 where Alan talked all things mite management.

Meanwhile, the two Bevs kept the house buzzing with a couple of crafting workshops—full tables, good company, and lots of creativity.

Alan and Austin were also able to finish up rechecking hives that received new queens last week—always a good feeling to see things coming together in the yard.

Days like this remind us how much we love what we do and the amazing community we get to share it with 💛
