The JT-BMR-8's weigh just 3.8 lbs. as shown below, (Thanks Chris!). When the grille and mounting hardware are added, I expect them to stay under 5 lbs. each!

As promised, here's one of the new JT-BMR-8 Utra-Compact top speakers! Now that they've passed my very critical listening test, it's time to fabricate the front grille and mounting hardware. Pics of those coming ASAP! I threw one of my mice and my hand in there for scale. These things hit way above their weight and size class! To be fair, they ARE designed to be ran with 1 or 2 smaller (8 to 12") subwoofer(s).
So, brass tacks time: Are they cheap? No. They are still designed, manufactured, hand assembled, and covered, then meticulously tested for sound quality, sensitivity (96dB) and ruggedness right here on the premises! That said, a pair will set you back $450 for the passive version and $800 for the 200 watt RMS (each) active version. Sub(s) not included. Recommended high pass frequency is 150 Hz. So, regardless of what your brain is telling you, these must be heard to be believed!
As these are designed & built in-house, quite a bit of customization is available to meet specific requirements. I'll put up a high quality audio bite soon so you can throw on your good headphones and see for yourself!

Well, another top speaker design is coming soon! I'll post them here as soon as they are finished. They are model # JT-BMR-8 Sound Panel. They can be ordered active or passive. The active version will have a 200W class D amplifier with lots of options available. I will go into the amp specs after testing is completed. Stay tuned!

This update is for the new JT-MTM-FP5 compact top speakers. These are designed to be used stand-alone for acoustic & electric solo & duo gigs. They also excel as hi-passed top speakers, paired with a subwoofer or two. Order them with or without the stand mounts, depending on your application. Email, text, or respond here for more details.
