Trailer Repair!

Rear gates and ramps take a beating over time, and when they start bending, cracking, or breaking down, they can turn into a real headache fast.

For this project, we added in some additional more structure and tied the expanded metal in at more points than the factory to help stiffen the gate up and make it a more solid repair.

🚤 Aluminum Boat Transom Rebuild Complete.

When this boat came to us, the original transom was completely rotted and no longer capable of properly supporting the motor.

For this repair, we removed the damaged transom and built a new one from the ground up using: Marine-grade plywood, TotalBoat structural epoxy encapsulation, Custom-fabricated aluminum reinforcement brace, & New hardware and installation

The new transom is significantly stronger, more rigid, and better protected against future water intrusion.

At McDowell Metal Works, we believe repairs should last, which is why we take the time to build them right instead of just patching the problem.

As a small thank you for trusting us with the project, we also fabricated a custom stainless steel cup holder for the owner. Sometimes it’s the little details that make a project special.
