In 2001, the owner of Superior Steel Sales, Matt Bales, started his first company "Bales Welding". Over the next eight years he became a reputable pipe fence and corral builder in the four states region. In 2009, Matt had the opportunity to buy out his major supplier, Superior Steel Sales, located in the rural Sarcoxie, MO area. Business grew as Superior began manufacturing Crowding Tubs, Alleyway

s, and Heavy Duty Gates. In early 2011, Superior Steel relocated to our current location on I-44 just west of the Joplin Regional Stockyards. Thanks to a solid base of satisfied customers, our business continues to expand, serving professional welders, cattlemen, weekend do-it-yourselfers, and more.
