Propane safety training is continuing in Iowa!

Todd Meyer has been working with Des Moines Hazmat Shifts 1 and 2 on flare kit training. Firefighters are learning about the fittings in the Propane Responders Kits, practicing liquid and v***r flaring, and getting a closer look at propane bobtail equipment.

A big thank-you to Ferrellgas for providing the equipment and propane, Craig Davison for helping with the training, and IPGA/IPERC for supporting the propane costs through a grant.

A closer look at the GEM Compressor during gas transfer.

The GEM helps transfer liquid propane and recover v***r from tanks before service work, including tank exchanges and valve replacements. For underground tanks and other challenging service locations, onsite gas transfer can help crews get the job done without having to move the tank.

A day on the course for a good cause!

GEC was proud to support the 2026 Golf to End Alzheimer’s Caregivers Classic, hosted by, Ozarc Gas, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Steve Barton, GEC Sales Representative, joined the golfers at Dalhousie Golf Club to help support an event raising awareness and support for families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Thank you to the Ozarc Gas team for putting together a great event and allowing GEC to be part of it!
