We were the third group in California to buy the State approved energy compliance p
rogram called Micropas. Each year we perform close to 1000 energy compliance jobs for architects and building designers in all 16 California climate zones. We are certified as CEPE and HERS inspectors. Besides just getting your residential or commercial building to comply with the State code we offer consulting on thermal bridging, window selection, passive solar design etc. As a national leader in Hydronic Radiant Floor heating design, MEG has designed over five thousand custom residential and commercial systems. Recently MEG has been focused on radiant ceiling heating and cooling systems. These systems offer the highest level of comfort and efficiency while at the same time dramatically reduce the space required by conventional system. Since 2009, MEG has been a driving force in promoting and designing net zero energy homes and buildings.Over the last several years MEG has designed close to 200 net zero energy homes. Further we have promoted the concept to architects and industry groups around the country. David Knight, our founder, has presented seminars on net zero energy design to AIA chapters, builders groups, manufactures such as L.G. and Daikin, trade associations and in 2010 he was the key note speaker at the Missouri State Energy Conference.
