Co-Op Spotlight: Nick Herrmann

"My name is Nick Herrmann, and I completed my co-op placement at Holt Lumber as a clerk. Holt Lumber is a business that provides building materials, tools, and supplies for customers working on construction and home improvement projects. During my co-op experience, I worked the cash register, stocked shelves, answered customer questions, and helped customers find the materials they needed for their projects. I also learned how to handle customer complaints professionally and assist people in finding the right products for different jobs. Throughout this experience, I improved my communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

"One important thing I learned was how important patience and professionalism are when working with customers, especially when solving problems or helping someone who is frustrated. This co-op experience helped prepare me for my future goals by teaching me responsibility, teamwork, and how to interact with people in a professional environment. I am thankful to my supervisor Holly Wiggins and everyone at Holt Lumber for giving me the opportunity to learn new skills and gain work experience."
