McNeely’s: Behind the Counter

At McNeely’s, we believe trust is earned — and trust starts with knowing the people you’re working with. That's why we're excited to launch McNeely’s: Behind the Counter, a monthly spotlight featuring the team members who help make McNeely’s your trusted one-stop shop.

Each month, we'll introduce you to someone from one of our retail stores and give you a glimpse of who they are beyond the counter. These are the people who answer your questions, help solve problems, and serve our communities every day.

For our first spotlight, we're proud to introduce: Martha Anders, Assistant Manager at McNeely’s Store & Rental in Sapphire.

Martha has been a valued member of the McNeely’s team for 22 years. Over the years, she has built lasting relationships with customers and is a trusted resource for both shoppers and fellow employees. Her knowledge, dedication, and commitment to customer service make her an important part of the Sapphire team, and a great example of what McNeely’s is all about.

Hometown Hardware is looking for a part-time General Sales Associate to join our team!

📍 Canton, NC
⏰ Part-time

What you’ll do:
• Provide quality customer service on the sales floor
• Assist customers with product selection and basic project guidance
• Maintain product knowledge across hardware, tools, and home improvement items
• Stock, face, and organize inventory
• Operate a forklift (or be willing to learn)
• Help keep the store clean, organized, and running smoothly
• Prioritize safety at all times
• Build strong relationships with customers and coworkers

What we’re looking for:
• Self-motivated, dependable, and hard-working
• Strong customer service + communication skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with equipment (or willing to learn)
• Basic computer skills
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Flexible availability
• Background check and drug screening required
