Another successful truck scale install in the books

A local gravel pit needed to replace their worn-out Rice Lake Survivor truck scale, but there was one catch, they couldn’t afford any downtime during business hours.

To make it happen, everything had to be completed after hours AND fit into the existing foundation with no modifications.

Thanks to a B-TEK Centurion truck scale built with the exact same dimensions as the previous scale, our team was able to get the job done seamlessly.

The crew started tearing out the old scale Friday at 4 PM and had the new one installed by Saturday afternoon. The customer was fully operational and ready for business Monday morning like nothing ever happened.

Huge shoutout to our Dayton team for making this one happen quickly and efficiently!

In December 2024, our Mansfield team took on a complex truck scale replacement project for a long-time agricultural cooperative in Marion, Ohio.

The job involved replacing an outdated dump pit system with a new B-TEK Centurion Truck Scale, custom-built to fit an existing modified foundation. Our Industrial Services team handled the site prep, completing key structural upgrades to support long-term performance.

With limited crane access, partial indoor installation, and a roof covering part of the foundation, this project required creative problem solving and precise ex*****on.

Through detailed planning, multiple crane repositioning's, and strategic use of the available space, the team successfully set each scale module in place. The most challenging section was installed by carefully working through gaps in the building’s roof structure, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Projects like this highlight the experience, ingenuity, and commitment our team brings to every job.

The calibration mistake that could be costing you accuracy, compliance… and money.

Most people think “calibrated” = good to go—but that’s not always true.

If you’re using truck scales, understanding ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration vs standard calibration is a game changer.

We’re excited to launch our new series “5 in 5” quick, impactful conversations on the topics that matter most.

For Episode 1, our Marketing Coordinator, Koti Wright, sat down with Mike Scott, Training & Development Manager at Brechbuhler Scales, to break it all down.

This is just a snippet, check out the full interview on our YouTube:

Speed sensor issues? Here’s what that fix actually looks like.

In this quick clip, our technician is in the middle of troubleshooting and replacing a worn Bulk Pro N60 speed sensor on a Ramsey belt scale system. Walking through what happens when sensors start slipping and how we get things back to accurate, reliable performance.

From simulated mode to full calibration, this is a real look at keeping your conveyor systems running right.
