🎉 Congratulations to our 2026 Basic Systems, Inc., Engineering Scholarship recipient, Addysen Sichina! 🎉

Basic is proud to continue our tradition of supporting the next generation of engineers in our local community through our annual scholarship program for graduating seniors pursuing a degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering at ABET-accredited colleges and universities.

This year our scholarship winner is Addysen Sichina, a 2026 graduate from Meadowbrook High School. She plans to attend West Virginia University in Fall 2026 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She is graduating with a 4.0 GPA and a distinct honor of Summa Cum Laude. She has hopes to one day become a Project Manager for a construction company or serve as a county engineer.

At Basic, we believe investing in local students strengthens our communities and helps build the future of the engineering students. Supporting talented students like Addysen not only celebrates academic achievement, but helps create better opportunities for future engineering professionals!

Congratulations to ALL of the graduating seniors who applied for the Basic Systems Engineering Scholarship! This $3,000 scholarship reflects our commitment to fostering career opportunities in professional engineering services right here in our community, ensuring bright minds can thrive locally.

This year we chose Trent Milliner of John Glenn High School. Trent has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, graduating high school while simultaneously earning a two-year mechanical engineering degree. Beyond academics, he has excelled in sports and devoted countless hours to community volunteering, showing leadership and a heart for service. Trent will continue his education by attending Mount Union University to complete his 4-year mechanical engineering degree.

Congratulations to ALL of the Basic Systems Engineering Scholarship Applicants! There are so many high-caliber graduates from our area who are going into the engineering field. We’re positive that they will have bright futures ahead of them and be able to make positive contributions wherever they land. After reviewing the transcripts; ACT scores; academic, community, and athletic achievements, as well as the future plans of all our applicants – we FINALLY chose one stellar candidate. Noah Farley of Meadowbrook High School has attended Washington State College of Ohio and Stark State College (dual enrollment) to get a jump start on his engineering education, while also receiving numerous awards as scholar-athlete, academic All-Ohio awards, Excellence in Youth award, and while being a member of Student Council, NHS, Youth Leadership Guernsey, DECA, and an athlete in football, track, and ski club. Noah will be attending the University of Notre Dame pursuing a civil engineering degree. Congratulations, Noah!
