1,250 jobs and $700 million? That's what the drone industry brings to the Columbia River Gorge. We're proud to be a part of it and glad to have the Gorge Technology Alliance's support.

We've been a major drone industry partner: designing, engineering, building & testing UAV systems for Fortune 100 companies and growing startups alike. Last week, Sigma team members Michael, Payton, and Andy caught up with the GTA community at their Hood River Happy Hour - check out what they've been up to!

Thanks to Rachel McKay - Slingshot Aerospace, Jason Hartmann - Mid-Columbia Economic Development District, Molly Harpel - Overwatch Imaging, and everyone else for chatting with us!

Wishing a Happy Father's Day to all the dads who know how to keep everything running. We had fun in the shop again and marked the occasion the best way we know how, with a laser engraver. From the Sigma Design team.

Controls Engineering sits at the cross section of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. From architecture to hardware commissioning to final on-site startup, controls engineers bring the system to life.

Controls Engineers design electrical control systems, develop cable and wiring diagrams, and program motion controllers, PLCs, robots, vision systems, HMIs, and SCADA, then perform integration testing and system validation to bring all the electromechanical pieces together seamlessly.

(Not to be confused with systems engineering, at Sigma Design, we use both in tandem to deliver exceptional results.)

5-axis machining unlocks geometry that 3-axis simply can't touch, and when you're building prototypes that need to become production parts, that capability is very important.

At our Camas, WA headquarters, we run a Kitamura and Haas UMC 500 & 750. We've built our shop around tight tolerances, complex parts, and the flexibility to scale.
