ity located in the Houghton County Airport Industrial Park in Calumet, MI. Glass America and in July, 2016 became OcuGlass, LLC. The plant has been in full production of its acid-etched glass product, OcuMatte, since January 2015. Through research and development efforts, along with listening to its customers, OcuGlass has recently launched OcuWrite, a writable surface product. There are plans to launch more product lines in the near future, including OcuTech, which is an innovative glass intended for the electronics industry. The customer-base for all glass products that are manufactured in Calumet covers all of North America, with a focus in the United States. Our production line has the capacity to produce 20,000 square feet of OcuMatte per day. We can process glass up to 96” x 130” and in thicknesses up to 3/4”. Our glass is supplied by trusted suppliers and we work hard to use local vendors in many aspects of the business. Our acid-etching process is done in a vertical position, which is a clean, efficient process and allows us to produce single or double-sided etching. We chemically modify the glass without rollers, lasers, or sandblasters. Products are processed and sold in custom or truckload quantities. The matte image and its opacity are adjustable depending on the use of the glass. Glass parameters are precisely determined and controlled using the most modern equipment. The production process and equipment are proprietary intellectual property of our company.
