💻 FlashCut Standard: We are now offering the all-in-one FlashCut software, the Standard version, as our main software package for the MVP table!

✅ NEMA 23 Stepper Motors: The MVP now offers NEMA 23 Stepper Motors as the default motors included on the table's gamtry and carriage. You also have the option to upgrade motors to the NEMA 34 Servo Motors.

Let's give a quick break down regarding maintenance between water tables and downdraft tables and highlight some key differences on the two systems.

💨 Downdraft Tables

> Collect dry dust in drawers or bins
> Cleanup is typically quick and straightforward
> No water or additives involved

💧 Water Tables

> Use water to capture smoke and debris
> Require occasional water level checks
> May include additives for rust or algae control
> Debris collects as a wet sludge that needs to be cleaned out

At the end of the day, it comes down to preference —
dry and simple vs. water-based and contained.

How do plasma tables handle smoke and dust?

That’s where downdraft and water tables take two completely different approaches.

💨 Downdraft Tables
Use suction fans and filters to pull smoke and dust away from the cutting area — keeping the shop air much cleaner.

💧 Water Tables
Trap dust and smoke directly in the water below the cut.

Both work well, but water tables create wet sludge, while downdraft systems collect dry dust that's easier to manage.

Clean air vs. water capture — it just depends what works best for your shop.

💧 Water tables use a water bath under the material to trap smoke and cool the metal.

Both get the job done — but they work very differently in the shop.
