at non-program funding that expires rapidly and is nearly impossible to execute doesn’t just put programs at risk... It puts lives at risk. And we formed ABSI Defense because we are passionate about providing a solution.

Watching Xelevate's video from Operation Imminent Threat 2026, you see the cadets at the moment of ex*****on – drones up, throttles forward.

Here's what was happening above them.
ABSI operated as part of the opposing force (OPFOR) with Xelevate's Red Team, flying our SkyBadger UAS in threat profiles across several mission sets. Modular payloads, rapid reconfiguration, adjustable signatures – the threat picture shifted between obstacle navigation, grid search, and scene identification, forcing cadets from Norwich University, VMI, the U.S. Naval Academy, and the U.S. Air Force Academy to adapt in real time.

That's the gap we're built to close – between classroom instruction and operational reality. Far beyond simulators and slide decks. Hands on the controls, with an unpredictable adversary above them.

We just wrapped up a strong week at Warrior West!
Huge thanks to our partners at ADS, Inc. for hosting such a great event and bringing together the people working every day to support the warfighter.
Our team had the opportunity to showcase several of our aerial target systems—including the Inert Towed Aerial Target (ITAT), Gnat Storm, Sky Badger, RATTLER, and Pit Viper—and even conduct a live demo of Sky Badger towing the ITAT.
For us, it all comes back to one idea:
👉 Training should be realistic, repeatable, and affordable
That’s what drives our work in developing attritable aerial target systems that help teams train more effectively against real-world threats.

We’re proud to share that ABSI Aerospace & Defense will be exhibiting at Warrior West 2026, an invitation-only event hosted by , Inc.
We’re grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to stand alongside organizations that play a direct role in supporting national security and homeland protection missions.
At the event, we’ll be showcasing our Group 1–3 attritable, threat-representative aerial targets, designed to make counter-UAS testing and training more realistic and more accessible.
These systems also support homeland security and law enforcement organizations responsible for border protection and securing major public venues and critical infrastructure.

ABSI was on site last month supporting Operation Imminent Threat 2026 at in Leesburg, VA.
Cadet teams from USAFA, USNA, VMI, and Norwich took on a series of fast-paced UAS missions designed to simulate real-world operational environments—where teamwork, adaptability, and decision-making are critical.
Our team supported flight operations and served as part of the OPFOR/Red Team, using our SkyBadger UAS platform to help create a realistic and challenging training environment. From ISR-style drone activity to dynamic threat scenarios, competitors were pushed to think fast and operate under pressure.
This is where learning moves beyond the classroom and into ex*****on.
We’re proud to support training that prepares the next generation to perform when it matters.
