Empowering kids & adults through tradition, craftsmanship, and community. We’re Joe and Amber Hanks, the husband-and-wife team behind Bare Metals Forge — a fully mobile blacksmithing experience. Our traveling forge allows us to share the ancient art of blacksmithing with communities everywhere. We offer free, hands-on forging classes for all ages, giving attendees the unforgettable experience of w

orking with fire, hammer, and anvil. Alongside our interactive classes, we also showcase and sell a variety of handcrafted goods, including:

After a whole lotta miles, madness, sparks, sweat, late nights, and dreams… we FINALLY found the place that’ll be carrying our work exclusively!!! 🖤
Y’all… this one feels BIG. Like “holy crap we actually did it” big. We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and cannot WAIT to show you what’s coming next for Bare Metals Forge. Handmade, heartfelt, a little wild, and forged with love every single step of the way.

Whew y’all… it may be humid enough out here in Mount Olive to swim through the air 😂☀️ but we are all set up at Mount Olive Mercantile and still havin’ an absolutely wonderful day with some really awesome folks 🖤🛠️ The forge is hot, the laughs are flowin’, and we’re just grateful to be here!
