A few posts we built and installed. Originally they had wood posts they wanted wrapped with powder coated metal. I offered my opinion, especially since it was a parade of homes, that it would not work, or look good in the end. . So we built new posts, powder coated them, used a jack, cut out the wood, and replaced with all metal. . 5/8" anchors in the concrete, 1/2" wood lags in the beams. . Those things aren't moving, or going anywhere
