🏆 A WIN FOR THE McBAIN RAMBLERS!

Back in September, the McBain Ramblers rallied their community to win B&P’s Community School Spirit Challenge. Friday night, we had the chance to celebrate that win in person!

At halftime of the home football game, we presented McBain with a custom B&P hand truck finished in their school colors. We loved being part of the excitement and seeing the hand truck alongside the students and school activities.

Made right here in Cadillac, this hand truck is ready to help around the school, from events and athletics to everyday needs.

A big thank-you to McBain and everyone who voted and helped make our first School Spirit Challenge such a success. We loved seeing the support for all six participating schools!

We host plenty of manufacturing tours here at B&P, but sometimes we get to be the ones asking questions and taking a closer look.

While in Texas last month, Erin Marie Lavender and Craig Hewett spent four hours touring P&H Casters, one of the caster manufacturers we work with. They learned more about P&H’s approach to engineering, saw how the new facility was designed to improve efficiency, and discovered that many of its top casters are used on grocery carts across the country.

The visit was a great reminder that there is always something to learn from seeing how another manufacturer approaches its work.

Of course, the building made an impression, too. The front is shaped like a caster!

When we talk about ergonomics, delivery equipment may not be the first thing that comes to mind. But for people moving furniture, food, beverages, packages, and other heavy loads, the little things matter.

Balance. Control. Handles. Brakes. Wheels.

When equipment is difficult to maneuver, the person moving the load makes up the difference. Over hundreds of stops, moves, and deliveries, that added effort can take a toll.

🔧 What does manufacturing look like?

This week, we welcomed 9th grade students from Manton and Cadillac High Schools for a behind-the-scenes look at life inside our facility.

Students explored welding, machining, robotic welding, engineering, and one of our most unique products: military shipping containers. Along the way, they asked great questions, got an up-close look at manufacturing in action, and discovered the many people and skills it takes to make it all happen.

We were impressed by their curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the day and are grateful for the opportunity to share our industry with the next generation.
