Sometimes the biggest part of a fabrication job is not the welding, it is listening and understanding.👂💡

🥃🐷 Our good friends at Whiskey Pig Ranch brought us a bale spear attachment that had been modified by someone a while back. The problem? It was not built the way they originally wanted it.

Not only was the tubing added in a completely different spot than requested, the tubing was too thin for the workload this attachment sees.❌ Bale spears are subjected to heavy loads, constant shock, rough terrain, and years of abuse. Thin wall material is not a sustainable choice for this type of equipment, and the previous tubing had already begun to deform from use.

After discussing their original vision, I removed the old setup and rebuilt the attachment using substantially heavier material better suited for this equipment.

The result is a stronger, more durable bale spear that was built the way the customer wanted from the beginning and is ready for years of ranch work.💪

⚠️WARNING: The Mobile Secretary has officially been promoted from “wandering employee” status 😂

My Mobile Secretary has been all over the house while handling the office side of the business when she’s working from home 🏠 Because finding one spot to be comfortable is hard for her. She goes from the couch 🛋️, to the kitchen chair 🪑, then another room, then another chair… basically running a full-time traveling office😵‍💫

Since she deals with a permanent back injury, comfort is important. So I decided to fix the problem. I got her a fabric reclining office chair with massage and heat.💺 Plus a desk setup where she can actually stay organized and comfortable while handling business. 🖥️ I went with a 2 person desk so whenever one of the older kids jumps in to help with office duty, there’s an extra seat ready to go!

❌No more couch office.
❌No more kitchen chair office.
❌No more “I’m moving to another room because my back hurts” office😭

She’s already excited to get everything set up so she doesn’t have to go searching through 10 different places trying to find things she needs for work🫪📂

Small upgrades like this matter!💯 Taking care of the people helping build the business is just as important as building the business itself.🔥

People see the welding jobs, equipment, and finished projects, but they don’t always see the work happening behind the scenes.🫣

Behind every business there’s usually someone helping hold everything together. And this woman definitely deserves a comfortable place to do it!💙

I’m late to the party on this one😆😜

Our friends at Fiegel's Fix-It needed a massive upgrade on their gantry crane, swapping out the stock 8ft beam for a custom 15ft I-beam.🏗️ So I stepped in to Smitty-ize it. We swapped that factory beam for a custom 15ft I-beam to make sure they can tackle those big engine pulls and heavy repairs with ease.🛠️⚒️

A huge shoutout to Justin Fiegel for the expert tractor work.🚜 Moving 15 feet of heavy I-beam into position is a balancing act, and he nailed it getting that iron exactly where it needed to be so we could get it locked in and burned for good.⚡️ And a big thanks to Brandon for the muscle on the ground, helping us get those legs lifted and lined up perfectly.🏋️‍♀️⛓️

It took some tractor power, a solid game plan, and total team effort to get this beast standing, but it’s officially burned in and ready for work.👨‍🏭✅

Stop replacing them and start overbuilding them! 💪🔥
