The MyoPro® is a myoelectric arm brace, and may provide benefits to individuals with a variety of diagnoses. Adults and adolescents living with chronic muscle weakness may be candidates, whether that weakness followed a stroke, a brachial plexus injury, a traumatic brain injury or other condition. What matters most is whether enough muscle signal is present for the brace to detect it and faciliate movement.

Here's what actually happens during a MyoPro® virtual clinical screening, step by step.​

✅ During a virtual clinical screening, a clinician reviews the patient's condition, explains the MyoPro®, and what it can and cannot do.

✅ Information is collected about the patient's diagnosis, medical documentation, rehabilitation journey, current functional limitations, and goals for improving upper extremity function. ​

✅ If the patient is determined to be a good candidate, the next step is to schedule an appointment with their doctor to discuss whether the MyoPro® is right for them and to obtain the necessary prescription.​

It stands for electromyography, and it is the reason the MyoPro® brace works the way it does. ​

When a person tries to move, their muscles produce a faint electrical signal, detectable at the skin surface, even if the movement itself is limited.

The non-invasive MyoPro® sensors detect that signal and use it to help support movement of the arm and hand. ​
