Please take a moment and check out our cultivator sweep mounting back plates for International and IH Farmall cultivator shanks.

These cultivator back plates help to provide superior support and reinforcement to the rear of your cultivator shanks. These back plates increase the cultivator sweep plow bolt's washer surface contact area. This will help prevent the sweep's plow bolts from loosening while cultivating. Repetitive loosening of the sweep usually results in over tightening and bending of the washer.

Today we check out a front push blade that arrived attached to a salvage IH International 130 tractor. The International 130 was the Industrial version of the IH Farmall 130 row crop model.

This IH 130 tractor was used primarily with a sickle bar mower for mowing road sides before being purchased by the previous owner.

The front push shown here is not the standard International Model 60 Leveling or Grader Blade one usually finds on these Farmall row crop tractors. This front push blade pushes from final drive mounts and has an adjustable angle blade. There are no tags identifying the manufacturer but could have been commercially available or even custom built for the Virginia Highway Dept. as they were the original purchaser of this Industrial 130 tractor. The industrial yellow color of the blade most likely indicates it came from the time when the tractor was used by the VA. State Highway Department.

If you or someone you know is in the market for a front push blade for their IH Farmall Super A, 100, 130, or 140 tractor than this could be just the thing. It will surely snow again this winter. This push blade on the front of your Farmall will surely be a lot more enjoyable to move snow than that back breaking snow shovel!

Below is a link to the sale listing for this blade.

Today we take a look at a "late model" style Farmall Cub waiting to be unloaded and processed into the salvage yard.

This all red late model IH Cub is the last sheet metal update for the Cub tractor series (1964 and later). This update in styling brought the Cub's styling up to date and matches the IH 140's redesign.

This Cub tractor has nice straight complete sheet metal and grille assembly. It is also equipped with the deluxe seat frame and under slung exhaust system. One of the nicest features to have is the complete 1 Point Fast Hitch. This tractor would make an excellent source of parts to complete your restoration or get your Cub back to work.

The 1 Point Fast Hitch single gang harrow and single bottom plow will be moved to the equipment yard for resale. The Cub 1 Point Fast Hitch single bottom plow is laying on the trailer under the center of the tractor. If you happen to be in the market for an International 184 1 Point Fast Hitch planter, here are 3 that are available in the next to last photo. These 184's happened to be lined up nearby and thought it would be good idea to quickly mention them since it planting season in the southern US.

Please contact us for any additional information for you Farmall needs.

Today is Monday, Presidents Day, and a look outside to find a subject to post about finds a tractor that has arrived since Friday afternoon. It is an IH Farmall Cub awaiting unloading and processing into the salvage yard.

The IH Farmall Cub was produced from 1947 to 1964 with just under 1/4 million produced. The follow on model was the International Cub tractor and was produced till 1975. In this area the Cub was immensely popular with small acreage to***co farmers and gardeners. This was mainly due to the offset design that IH referred to as its "Cultivision" feature. As small acreage to***co farmers moved up to the larger Super A tractors, the Cub ended up as the garden tractor of choice and many are still in service today in that roll. Ease of repair and parts availability will keep the Cub working in the gardens for many years to come.

So as always, if you or anyone you know needs any Cub tractor parts, please contact us.

Here are a couple of more IH Farmall row crop tractors going into the tractor salvage yard.

The first one is a "late" model IH Farmall 140 tractor. Late model refers to 140 built after 1963 with the new style sheet metal design. This 140 tractor has good sheet metal and front cowl assembly and has a complete 1 Point Farmall Fast Hitch.

The second nice salvage tractor shown is an IH Farmall Super A. This tractor is a complete Super A with good sheet metal and grille assembly. This Super A has a full set of weights with good rims and tires and has been converted to a 3 Point Hitch. The 3 Point Hitch has been already been sold and is not available.

So as usual, take a moment and look over these photos and if you see something of interest, please contact us. This is the time of year we strive to restock the salvage yard for the 2020 growing season.

Today we take a look at a nice IH Farmall Super A tractor sitting on the trailer prior to being moved onto the tractor salvage yard.

This Super A tractor is complete and has nice straight sheet metal and grille assembly. It has a complete front cultivator setup down to the cultivator shanks and offset bars.

This Super A tractor and front cultivators would be a good source of nice clean used salvage parts. Take a minute and look over the photos and if you or someone you know needs any of these parts to restore or keep a Super A tractor working please contact us.

New to the Farmall tractor salvage yard is an early model IH Farmall 140 tractor. By the time you see this post it will have been processed and moved onto the salvage yard to be parted out.

The "early" model Farmall 140 started in 1958 and ended in 1962 with updated sheet metal design for 1963 and newer models. The 1963 and newer 140 tractors are commonly referred as "late" model tractors. Approximately 16,000 of the early model 140s tractors were built.

This early model Farmall 140 has complete front cultivators, usable rear tires with weights, and an 1 Point Fast Hitch. The sheet metal and grille are in fair condition.

Please contact us for any additional information regarding any parts from this Farmall 140 tractor or any of your other Farmall row crop tractor parts needs.

Today we check out a couple of late 2019 arrivals to the tractor salvage yard. They are a pair of Massey Harris Pony tractors. Both are complete and one has excellent sheet metal. One of these tractors has a unique grille emblem, as we are not aware the "skull and crossbones" front grille pirate emblem was ever a M-H factory option. One Pony has the PTO and belt pulley option and the other has the block off plate. Both of these tractors probably have parts you or someone you know needs to complete a restoration or keep their tractors in working condition.

The Massey Harris Pony was a direct competitor to the IH Farmall Cub tractor. They were popular in areas that had strong Massey Harris dealer presence. The Pony was rated at 10 HP at the draw bar from a Continental N62 (1.0 liter / 62 CID) engine. They were built in Woodstock, Canada from 1947 thru 1954.

Please contact us for any additional information regarding parts from these Massey-Harris Pony tractors.

Today's post is a quick look at a IH Farmall Cub tractor that was split to diagnose an oil leak in the bell housing area. The Cub tractor's oil pump (C-60 engine) is located at the back of the engine behind the flywheel. This is different from the Farmall A thru 140 tractors (C-113 and C-123 engines) that have the oil pump located in the oil pan area and is accessed by dropping the oil pan assembly. The All-thread rods between the halves help in realignment when reassembling. Also note the two dowels in the engine casting that are used for final alignment on reassembly. The photos show the alignment dowels, oil pump, and rear main seal retainer.

Please contact us for any new or used parts for your Farmall tractor repairs or restorations.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.!!!

The first post of the year is of an IH Farmall M tractor. By the time you read this it will have been moved into the tractor salvage yard.

The Farmall M was the largest of the original "letter series" Farmall tractors. Approx. 270,00 were built from 1939 to 1952 in the Rock Island, Illinois plant. The price was $2,400 in 1952 which is roughly $23,000 in 2019 dollars.

This Farmall M has the metal gear shift k**b, if original, would make it a WW2 time frame tractor. Rubber was in short supply during this period. This Farmall M is complete down to the belt pulley and fenders with good sheet metal and a fair grille/ front cowl. The aftermarket wide front end is a very desirable option and is not often seen in this part of the country.

At this point in time to***co was the money crop for this area. IH had a very strong presence due to the very successful line of Farmall offset row crop tractors. The older members of the community often referred to a particular farmer as a "big time farmer" if they owned a Farmall M. It was always the subject of talk at the local store when a Farmall M showed up in the surrounding community.

So, enough background, If you or someone you know are looking for some IH Farmall M parts for a restoration or to keep one working, this tractor may have just what you need.

Please contact us for any additional information.

Today we check in on the tractor salvage yard. New to the yard and waiting to be unloaded and processed is a pair of very nice IH Farmall 140 tractors.

Both of these tractors are the new sheet metal style which was introduced around mid-1963. The International 140 on the rear of the trailer is a 1973 or newer model due to the spin on oil filter and 12 volt alternator. Both tractors have excellent new style sheet metal. The IH 140 tractors also have cultivators, rear wheel weights, and 1 Point Fast Hitches.

These Farmall 140s both have front bumpers which have contributed to protection of the grill and cowl sheet metal over their lifetimes. Now for the shameless plug you too can help save your sheet metal with a bumper in the link below. If you do not want to purchase a new bumper, please consider one of these used ones. They really do make a difference!

https://burchstoretractors.com/collections/tractor-bumpers/products/new-original-style-farmall-bumper-140-130-super-a-100-a

So in summary, if you or anyone you know needs any late model International/Farmall 140 tractor, cultivator, or Fast Hitch parts these two tractors probably have what you need.
