Part Time Quality Improvement GURU

We are looking for a part-time QUALITY hire (12-20 hours per week) at your preferred schedule. The goal is to help us with our mission to become ISO9001 certified. Candidates must have worked IN QUALITY in an ISO or AS9100 environment and have Six Sigma certification. Salary negotiable with a bonus once we have achieved certification.

CNC lathe/ boring mill position available. First shift- full time. Mazatrol or Fanuc (G-code) knowledge REQUIRED. Wages are based on experience; Starting base (minimum) pay listed is 40 hrs for someone with 5 years experience who is completely self-sufficient but will obviously require time- and help- to learn our systems. The max pay listed is based on 50 hour work week assuming you have 5+ years of experience and can prove to be completely self-sufficient; here's your part(s), here's your drawing, go... Interim raises possible based on performance. i.e. Not everyone ONLY gets the usual yearly raise, many get additional ones as they prove their worth to the company.

40 hrs NY mandated sick time plus vacation; healthcare (with contribution), holiday pay, etc after 60 work day probationary period.

Wages are based on experience; Base pay listed is 40 hrs for someone with 1-2 years experience who will need extensive supervision and training. The max pay listed is based on 50 hour work week assuming you have 5+ years of experience and can prove to be completely self-sufficient; here's your part(s), here's your drawing, go... $1000 bonus at end of probation.

All positions- 40 hrs NY mandated sick time plus vacation; healthcare (with contribution), holiday pay, etc after 60 work day probationary period.

1) Both CNC lathe and mill positions available. First shift- full time. Wages listed are based on experience; Base pay listed is 40 hrs; max pay listed based on 50 hour work week for the CNC positions if you have multiple years of experience and prove to be self-sufficient; here's your part(s), here's your drawing... 5 years minimum experience to apply. $1000 bonus at end of probation.

2) Training position available for the person looking to maybe get into this trade. MUST HAVE MECHANICAL APTITUDE. Ever ripped apart an engine block? Change your own brakes? We can teach you a skill if you're willing to learn. $16/hr to start but the sky is the limit and you will get raises as you progress- not just yearly reviews. The more you prove your worth, the more you will make. The faster you prove your worth, the faster you will make it.

3) Lastly, hiring for a position which includes shipping, receiving, and general janitorial duties- $18/hr with full benefits; otherwise, shipping and receiving alone would only be a part-time position here not eligible for benefits.

All positions- one week vacation, healthcare (with contribution), holiday pay, etc after 60 work day probationary period.

As many know, I am very recently back in the saddle at Edwin J McKenica and Sons ( www.ejmckenica.com ) after a two year absence. I promised updates as things progressed so here's the first one. Company sales are down significantly from when I left so it begs the question... Is it the economy or the company? I know what the company does "right"; the question is, if anything, what has it done "wrong"? I need absolutely honest feedback from anyone who has had anything other than a 10/10 experience with McKenica because I intend on making everyone's future experiences 11/10.
