Both boats have been recovered & in our in possession!
From the bottom of our hearts, sincerely thank you for all of the shares, DMs, phone calls and comments to help us find the CP and Biesemeyer.
This has been a roller coaster of emotions for our family.
Although this is very much still an open investigation & we can’t give all the details with the public, as a family we wanted to share the following:
This burglary, was very personal to us and invasive - devastating.
Our homes were broken into; power cut, phone lines cut, windows broken. Personal items stolen from inside the homes, including all of George’s clothes and family fi****ms. (1 being George’s Grandfathers, a sentimental antique)
These two boats, were/are extremely important to us - memories made as a family since the early 1980s in the CP and the Biesemeyer was the only surviving boat or car left that George ever raced himself.
These two items priceless to our family memories & legacy.
We are so grateful to all of you, for caring about our family - we know these are just physical things…and as long as we are healthy and have each other that is was truly matters but this hit home.
The river is our safe place, where all holidays and family time was/is spent. Where for now 5 generations we have lived and loved that land, and this really hurt.
The silver lining, on this terrible situation was watching all of you stand with us and offer your help, big and small to bring the boats home. It’s been so humbling & meant the world to us. Thank you all continuously. 🙏🏻
Most of the items mentioned above have been recovered, but this is still very much an open investigation.
4 individuals have been arrested so far, in affiliation to the Burglary - but there are still other persons of interest being pursued by the outstanding teams at the Colorado River Sheriffs Station, San Bernardino Sheriffs and Riverside Sheriffs and Blythe Police Department. They are truly heroes for everything they have done.
