Looking for a place to learn new skills at NO COST? We are excited to announce our Jack Threadgill Vocational Training Program Basic Welding Class will begin on Monday, January 15th, 2024! This 10-week course is completely NO CHARGE for both men AND women. Classes will be held on Monday & Tuesday evenings from 6-9 PM.
During this course, students will gain employable skills and connect with licensed welders and mentors. Not only will they gain skills, but students also obtain financial management skills and relational & spiritual guidance to take further steps towards making wise, Godly decisions for their lives and families. Over 100 students have participated in the Jack Threadgill Vocational Training Program since it began in 2019... And YOU could be one of them!

A great event and it's free. See you there

Myself, Russell Feller, and Mark Ling will be demonstrating Folded Carving Hatchets at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum in Huntsville, Texas on Saturday, May 8 from 10 am to 2 pm. Topics of discussion will include working with wrought iron, mass isolation, forge welding, spreading with a fuller, heat treating, and much more. We hope to see you there and it should be an excellent demonstration!

If you've never been to a Louisiana Metalsmiths Association (LAMA) conference, just remember there are some other things to do. The Tappel's made the trip from Missouri and found the old Louisiana. See ya next year.
