A trip to Brunswick Landing is a unique experience, especially when you get a behind the scenes look at TechPlace, Maine’s Technology Incubator. Last week, 26 students from three high schools, Dirigo High School, Buckfield Junior-Senior High School, and Telstar High School, visited TechPlace and Hangar 6 as a part of a Workforce Opportunities in Rural Communities (WORC) grant. Students met with representatives from PhytoSmart, Salmonics, Clamar Floats, SteriZign, Greisen Aerospace, LAM Inflatables, and Maine MEP.

TechPlace is home to full composites facility including two ovens, a data acquisition system to monitor and record vacuum and temperature, a layup room, and a spray booth that supports mold primers and coats as well as finish painting operations.
