We had to share this. 🌊

Bernard Hidier of Finsulate USA — a former TechPlace member here at Brunswick Landing — left this comment on our recent repost, and it genuinely made our day: "TechPlace is one of the Maine technology incubators that helped Finsulate USA find its commercial footing during early commercialization."

Seeing where they are now — doing serious work, earning recognition, and making noise in their industry — is a great reminder of what a strong start can do.

We wrote back to Bernard:
"Bernard, this is the kind of comment that makes a repost feel like it started something. Thank you for the generous mention of TechPlace — and for connecting the dots so cleanly. The early-stage period is where so much can go sideways, and watching Finsulate USA grow from finding its commercial footing to shaping a serious conversation around Maine's ferry fleet is exactly why we do this work. We always knew you were going places. We'll be cheering from the dock." 🚢

Thank you, Bernard. This is what Brunswick Landing is all about. ⚓

A trip to Brunswick Landing is a unique experience, especially when you get a behind the scenes look at TechPlace, Maine’s Technology Incubator. Last week, 26 students from three high schools, Dirigo High School, Buckfield Junior-Senior High School, and Telstar High School, visited TechPlace and Hangar 6 as a part of a Workforce Opportunities in Rural Communities (WORC) grant. Students met with representatives from PhytoSmart, Salmonics, Clamar Floats, SteriZign, Greisen Aerospace, LAM Inflatables, and Maine MEP.
