We hope everyone had a great labor day weekend.
We spent some time visiting the Bruce cemetery, building a pen for our pig. Also we tried cleaning the yard.

This year has flown by so fast , not even one fishing trip, way to much work to do..

Helped my son with his 2015 escape repair , after 7 hours, this is what we ended up with.

We had to source a head light from the new Richmond salvage yard, i can honestly tell you, we sell used auto parts alot cheaper then many other yards do.
(395.00) we had to pay for that left hand headlight.. damn....

Took a load of refrigerators to a recycling facility .

Eggs sold out.

Today at the salvage yard ⁹.³.²⁶ Thursday.

Many things going on in the past few days.

Last thursday the Storm water inspection, (DNR) of course they found a couple things out of place;
one electric motor found in the back of a truck box, one slightly leaking hydraulic hose on our new crane, a small tote with containing trash, a car engine stored under a semi trailer, a tote of copper wire not under cover.

Yes, all the items listed above are violations in accordance with wisconsin DNR.

A few automobiles came in for scrap.
A special thanks to Cedar lodge for the 970 pounds of aluminum cans, as well as Rusk Rockets 4H club with 292 pounds of aluminum cans.

We have a 2005 toyota Tacoma 6 foot box available for 400.00

Starting to install the magnet onto the material handler. First step, install the 12v dc to 24v dc battery equalizer.

To day/night at the salvage yard ⁸.⅖.²⁶ (tuesday)

First thing I want to mention, please do not bring loads of scrap that are dripping oil out of your trailers/trucks. All that does is puts more unnecessary work on us to clean up after you leave.

With that said, from this day on, any loads that are dripping oils or fuel will be rejected.

Each time the DNR comes here, they look for oil spots or contamination on the ground. Such violations could get us a fine or removed from our storm water CCP , so I would much rather loose a few loads a year than loose my business to the DNR.

The past few days have been busy.
We crushed 22 cars so far in peperation for the winter months, granted they are stacked in an unconventional manner, but doing so makes them easier to pick with the payloader forks.

Installed a new yard light

Crushed some aluminum cans

Eggs sold out until Thursday.

Today at the salvage yard ⁸.¹⁹.²⁶ (Wednesday)

Playing around with the new to us magnet 🧲. Special thanks to Dave Thompson for selling it to us.
However, i first need to up grade our crane to accommodate the 24 volts required to operate the magnet. Crane is currently 12 volt.
Maybe an Auxiliary alternator?

Bought a few junk cars today, coppers and other scrap.

Getting ready to scrap out all my boat motor inventory,need something saved from the shredder ? Contact us asap before all those good parts become useless.

Bought some scrap, sent out some scrap, locating parts.

The picture of the ball of barbed wire came in for scrap roughly 7 years ago. I had saved the roll all these years because I think it would be neat to put a light in it for yard art
