Good Morning...
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA has issued a new Flood Insurance Rate Map FIRM for South Padre Island.
The new map number is: 48061C0370F.
The map revisions have in some cases lowered the base flood elevation from which flood insurance premiums are calculated.
This means that a potential savings may be available to a homeowner or business that purchases flood insurance through FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program.

If your windows and glass doors are not protected by storm shutters, during hurricane season or high winds and rain:

15/32 OSB, plywood, can be used.
Plywood should be placed in front of the glass openings and be large enough to be attached to the frames using 1/4" screws.
