More than forty years ago, Russ Welte went looking for a filter that didn't exist.

He was working in irrigation and kept running into the same problem — sediment in the water lines, and no inline screen filter on the market that handled it well without costing a fortune. He asked around. The industry wasn't in a hurry to build one.

So he built it himself.

Rusco was born in late 1983, and the first filters went out across Florida — about the toughest sediment proving ground there is. If they held up here, they'd hold up anywhere. Word got around.

Three generations later, we're still privately held, still in Brooksville, and still making every Spin-Down filter right here in the USA. 🇺🇸

It was a great day in East Syracuse!
