Some more spinning 😵‍💫🤩 Subaru rotated downpipe ends - these videos are fun to make so if you guys like them i'll keep them going!

Half the battle with the positioner is figuring out seating/ hand position, filler rod feeding technique/ tempo and running both pedals at the same time. Little by little it's getting mo' betta!

Johnny reached out looking for a updated up and down pipe setup for his big power STi in Michigan. His original setup was using an up pipe that opened up from 2.5" to 3", with a 60mm wastegate. This along with a less-than-ideal downpipe was making driving around town and WOT pulls feeling like there was alot left on the table. The turbo was very laggy and i came up with a solution.

Paired to his ETS header is this 2.25" up pipe utilizing a 44mm wastegate - this should help tremenously with spool while not creating too much back pressure. This, along with a 3.5" downpipe tapering to 3" at the fl**ge that mates to the catback.

Overall this was a fun project to tackle. The big power setups require more than just good looks - there is a recipe dependant on engine setup, turbo, fueling etc - thank you again Johnny for trusting me with your parts and for the opportunity to be a part of your build from over 1000 miles away.

If you're looking to make some power or make your current setup more efficient, you've come to the right place. Send us a message, an email or visit the website www.shopssfab.com to learn more.

Lets make some power! 😎

When i first started SS Fab years ago, i never expected it to get to where it is today. I've always loved Subarus and wanted to put my name out there in the Subaru community. Fast forward to now, i've shipped parts i've built to 38/50 US states, multiple countries outside of the US and have more local customers than i can count. An absolute blessing.

There have been ups, downs, mistakes and breakthroughs as there will be in any automotive rooted business. Alot of the variables are out of my control - weather, shipping delays, sickness etc. I do everything in my power to stick to deadlines to the best of my ability without cutting corners.

I'm going to continue to step up the quality of work i produce. In order to do so, i'm going to cut down on cars coming into the shop.

I have a good friend working with me on mechanical jobs occassionally, however he just had a baby and is unable to be here as often as he was. So i'm bouncing back and forth between fab jobs, online orders, customer cars, shipping, answering social media messages, emails etc.

I absolutely refuse to shortcut quality for any reason, especially to meet a deadline.

Those of you who have been patient and understanding - i appreciate you more than words can explain. Those of you who call me 5+ times a day for updates, getting angry at shipping delays and other things happening out of my control, messaging me across every social platform for an update on parts that aren't near the estimated completion date.. i'm going to be reluctant to do business with you in the future.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me and been customers up until this point. This simply would not have been possible without you 🙏

Going forward, no more rush jobs. If you argue with me about pricing or timelines, we're not doing business. My work is for sale, not on sale. I dont care if we've been friends since we were kids, coming to me expecting a deal isn't going to happen. If you want the cheapest, quickest guy, go somewhere else.

Let's build some cool s**t 🤘

Wrapped up Simon's Garrett Gt42 powered 2005 STi. Can't wait to hear this thing make some steam! This setup utilizes a twinscroll header and up pipe with dual 44mm wastegates, a 6" intercooler core, 3" and 3.5" intercooler piping, dual TiAL BOV ports and a ton more.

Hanging the turbo was a task because of how heavy it is and space constraints. This car needs to be corner balanced for sure 😂 Simon needs to swap to the proper intake manifold, but aside from that this thing is ready to make some steam.

Thank you again for the opportunity Simon it was a challenge to say the least. Very happy with the end result!

Jon's STi all wrapped up! This car is on a stock longblock, sub 40k miles - it came in with a Grimmspeed turbo along with a plethra of mods and left with a Precision Turbo 6266 on one of our turbo kits (check out the before pics!)

This is how our newly revised up pipes fit. They allow for AOS placement to remain the same as IAG intended. While assembling Jon's setup, i also put together a small upper coolant resevoir to compliment the setup and keep a place to fill coolant from aside from the radiator. The ni***es for the radiator hoses are angled towards the front of the car to maximize space and keep a clean look once installed.

There's alot that went into this build - i can't wait to see how it does on the dyno today. I'll update with those videos as soon as i get them! Thank you again Jon for the awesome oportunity, it was my pleasure to put this setup together. Make sure to check it out this coming weekend at Subiefest in Orlando 😎🤝

Have a great week everybody! 🫡

Efrain brought his MK4 Supra all the way from Miami for some intercooler piping and ultimately decided to clean up the entire setup. Check out the before and after!

We moved the wastegates closer to the collector on this manifold to help combat overboosting issues, as well as making them servicable. Added a 4" downpipe so the turbo could breathe. Ditched the silicone coupler off the throttle body so there wouldn't be any more issues with it popping off. Added AN bungs to the valve covers for the catch can and radiator for the upper rad hose. Topped it all off with a simple 4" intake!

Overall an incredibly fun build, thank you again Efrain for the opportunity 🤝 have a great Monday everybody!

Our local customer Nico asked if we could build him a custom rotated setup using a large topmount intercooler for his 02 wrx. There were a few challenges with this setup, and its something i've personally been curious about. Now we have version 1 and we'll see how it performs. (Please ignore the couplers on intercooler, these were just for mockup)

For this test, the engine they'll be going on is a stock ej205 running e85 and a 6 speed transmission - however this setup would fit any EJ using the factory cast intake manifold. Couple key notes:

Bypass valve in this case is blocked off. There will be a version with it being plumbed in.

The turbo WILL allow IAG/ Cobb AOS to be mounted on the strut tower like they usually are, however lines will need to be adjusted accordingly.

This setup will run on speed density - however a smaller intake w/ MAF tube will be offered in order to keep things tunable on Greenspeed Accessport cars.

This particular intercooler is "rated" for a decent amount of power, but we're all very curious how heat soak will play out. I doubt we'll find the limit on this particular test.

This kit is very simple, nothing has to be significantly modified in order to get it to fit. There will need to be a updated bracket made for the left hand side of the intercooler in order to add stability, but for testing this setup will be good to go.

Once the test car is running and we get some data i'll make a post and potentially add this as a full setup with or without turbo to the website. This seems like it would make a great kit for basic street cars that dont want to cut up their front bumper, and should support 400+ horsepower pretty easily.

What are your thoughts? Any and all input is welcomed 🫡 have a great Thursday!

I'd like to thank Troy at Trilogy Performance for sending Pete to us for some work on his Sc300! Pete brought the car in with intercooler piping that worked, but didn't fit the best and there were plenty of things that could use improving. He also wanted to step up from a 3" to a 4" exhaust from the turbo all the way back. Mission accomplished!

Started with 3" intercooler piping all the way through with minimal bends to keep it as free flowing as possible. I made sure there was plenty of clearance around the front wheels turning radius so there will never be fitment issues if bigger wheels go on the car.

The downpipe was a blast to make, there's plenty of space for larger piping in these cars and Supras, just keeping efficiency in mind using longer radius bends so it flows as smooth as possible. Finished the 4" exhaust off with a Vibrant Performance muffler and the tone is perfect 👌

Overall a fun car to put together, cant wait to see what kind of power it makes. Seeing a factory manual SC is always a treat as well. Thank you again Pete for bringing the car all the way up here! I appreciate the opportunity 🤝

This is one of my favorite projects to date. Brendan messaged me about his LS swapped Wrx he was looking to have an exhaust made on, as well as some other odds and ends to wrap the car up and get it driving. Nothing to it but to do it!

After trying out a few different sets of headers, i found these S10 LS swapped units flipped backwards worked out really well for the chassis. Cut the collectors short and added on vbands - there's pretty limited room under the chassis with this engine and turbo 400 trans setup, so we opted for 2.5" piping with an X pipe and equal length exhaust to bullet mufflers at the bumper. The X pipe tucked up really nice, and even though the exhaust takes an unconventional route almost under the rear diff, there's still plenty of ground clearance. It will be even better once the drag pack is on!

A cammed LS sounds like a cammed LS no matter what chassis it's in, but hearing one of these cars sound like this is comical. The thump that hits your chest.. you don't get that with 4 cylinders or even big turbo inline 6's. Takes your brain a minute to comprehend 😆 this car has a certain aura.. i think that's what the kids call it?

Wrapped up with radiator hoses and piping, made a mount for the throttle pedal since the car is now a cable throttle vs wire, and rerouted the oil filter housing behind the front bumper on driver's side.

Overall, this entire project was an absolute blast, and i can't thank you guys enough Brendan and Melissa for the opportunity. Go give them a follow to keep tabs on this car - cant wait to see it out on the streets and at meets!

Have a great weekend everybody 😎

Dave brought by his 2006 STi for a few things. There was a rattle in the vacuum controlled cutout under the car that he wanted looked at, as well as some front suspension upgrades.

The front axle boots were all torn slinging grease everywhere - pulled them all apart and regreased/ rebooted both axles. While they were out it was perfect timing to add the Whiteline roll center kit. If you own a 02-07 Subaru Impreza/ WRX / STi, this is one of the best bang for your buck mods in my opinion. Especially if you're on coilovers. It removes alot of bump-steer input and makes driving overall a much smoother experience.

Thank you again Dave for the opportunity! It was a pleasure to work on this car, hope to see it more often 😎

Have a great Friday everybody 💪
