Uncle Sam was around when the country was being built. As someone that appreciates a good tool he sure was happy to see we have a hardware store in town. Guthrie's Hardware has been on the corner of Main Street and Cook Avenue for almost a 100 years. It serves the community, both residents and contractors. We sure appreciate that we have this valued store here in Brookneal!

We'll be posting parts of his visits around town every day, and if you want to meet him, and get a photo with him, then come down to the Community Building July 4th, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM! Hope to see you there!
