"You get what you pay for" Not true!
Fiorelli Welding has been in business for 25 years, at this location. The utility bed on the top was built in 2001, and has been on 10 different pickups. They came in and said, we need an additional pickup to add to our business. "We have tried the rest. They don't hold up" Here it is. ( the one one the bottom)
Now our products don't cost any more then the assembly line products on the market. He got a quality product that saved him lots of money, built the way he wanted it. Now would you rather have something that looks good for years? (No rust or paint chipping. (sorry didn't get it washed before pictures)
We just had a very popular brand in our shop ( won't mention any names... Lol) that was only 2 years old. (Wish I had took pictures) It had to be patched, sandblasted, and repainted, not to mention how it was mounted.
So, no you do not get what you pay for any more.
Sometimes you get QUALITY WORKMANSHIP!!!
