BIG ALUMINUM FLAT BED SALT TRUCK THING

HELLO

From this past fall - a big giant salt truck containment deck. Flatbed. Pan. Thing. Designed to keep the salter unit as low as possible - and save weight where possible. It shields the chassis from the salt.
HUGE shout out to Alro Metals here in Rochester for not only sourcing a single 8'x12' sheet of 1/4 aluminum (the only one available in the whole ass-country, at the time!) but doing a solid job at bending it for me.

Future additions for this bed is a locking insert to convert the containment pan into a utility flat bed, for warm months.

THINGS THAT NEVER GOT POSTED TO THE SOCIAL PLATFORM OF QUESTIONABLE RETURN, PART 3?

A box! For leaves!
Leaf box to fit existing dump body. Reverse hinging tailgate to accommodate dumping and existing gates, with a reverse facing pressure relief vent up front. This prevents the truck inhaling leaf dust.

Super excited to announce I've made a big upgrade to the shop. Joined the 350 amp club! This machine increases my aluminum TIG welding capability to a comfortable 3/4" thick; even thicker depending on the situation.

A tasty little railing, on average we do one residential railing per year and we're good with that.
