Yes — TENV motors run warmer by design.

• They don’t use a cooling fan
• Heat is dissipated through the motor housing
• Surface temperatures up to ~180°F can be normal

If the motor exceeds 200°F, trips protection, or shows signs of stress, it’s time to check load, voltage, and airflow around the motor.
