Project Highlight: Inter Miami Stadium ⚽
Pink and black, built in metal.

Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park, the new home of Inter Miami CF, opened this April, and Morin panels are part of the fan experience inside. Arquitectonica’s design uses Bright Pink S-16 panels to bring the club’s signature color to the bars, while the concessions are wrapped in more than 10,000 square feet of XAB-16 in Bristol Black.

Some of those black panels are curved to a 25’-4” radius, following the rounded lines of the concourse. Everything is 22-gauge Galvalume with a Fluropon finish, built to hold its color through every match day crowd.

MorKlad™ just cleared one of the toughest fire codes in the country. 🔥 The 2022 NYC Building Code requires fireblocking in many exterior wall assemblies, even ones with noncombustible cladding. MorKlad Rainscreen FireBlock was the first fireblocking product approved by NYC for this application, built to perform when it matters most.

In the event of a fire, the intumescent fireblock expands up to 25 times its thickness, sealing the cavity to stop flames and heat from spreading, while still allowing for ventilation and moisture dissipation under normal conditions.

It’s tested to NFPA 285 for multi-story code compliance nationwide, carries an ASTM E84 Flame Spread and Smoke Developed rating of 0, and is approved by NYC OTCR/DOB under NYC Building Code Section 718.2.1.

For architects specifying in NYC and beyond, that’s one less code hurdle standing between the design and the build.

Today at Greenbuild Expo we’re officially launching MorKlad: Morin’s new single-source through-wall system, where every layer is engineered to work as one.

Instead of piecing together insulation, girts, air and v***r barriers, and façade panels from different suppliers, MorKlad brings the whole wall assembly together under one spec and one warranty.

Here’s what’s inside:
• Insulation: premium phenolic insulation rated at R-8.1 per inch, with 2x the thermal performance of mineral wool, so architects can meet energy codes with a thinner wall.

• FRP Z-Girt: a fiber-reinforced polymer girt that’s thermally isolated, cutting heat transfer while still carrying heavy loads.

• Air & V***r Barrier: a self-adhered, impermeable seal that needs no primer and installs from 0°F to 150°F.

• Morin Panels: our full range of metal façade panels, over 100 profiles and 1,000 colors in steel, aluminum, zinc, or copper, all pre-tested as part of one system.

Project Highlight: The Helm Yards 2 ✨ This project in Kansas City brings a massive metal package to life: more than 66,000 square feet of Morin panel and flat material across the building’s exterior.

At the center of it is our VB-36 siding, over 52,000 square feet of it, installed vertically in 22-gauge Galvalume with a smooth Blue Gray Fluropon finish. The ribbed VB-36 profile gives the façade a consistent, textured expression, while the matching flat material ties the panels and trim together into one unified material palette.

Project Highlight: University of Kansas Gateway District ✨ This project reimagines the northern edge of the Lawrence campus, anchored by the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and the Anderson Family Football Complex. It’s more than a stadium renovation: the Gateway District brings together athletics, conference space, and entertainment to create a new gateway for students, athletes, fans, and the broader community.

Phase 1 transformed the stadium’s west and north sides, expanded football operations, and introduced a new conference center, connecting the stadium, the Anderson Family Football Complex, and the conference facilities into one multiuse destination.

Morin’s P-3 panels are part of that exterior story, installed by Standard Sheet Metal in a mix of Ch*****ne Bronze and Summer Suede finishes, including a perforated variation with a 51% open area that adds texture and depth to the façade.

Final Chapter! Episode 5: Bozeman, MT

The final chapter of One College, Five Facades brings us to Bozeman, home to the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing’s administrative offices, officially known as the Jones College of Nursing Bozeman.

This facility takes a lighter approach to the series’ shared material palette. Vertically oriented panels in neutral tones are paired with warm accent materials for a more varied, rhythmic exterior, while shifts in panel color and building volume create movement across the façade. Large framed openings and covered areas help define entrances and gathering spaces, bringing a human scale to the building.

The exterior combines two Matrix MX-6 tones (Silversmith and Surrey Beige) with Pulse P-9 and P-3 in Chromium Gray, finished mostly in Fluropon with a Fluropon Continuum topcoat on the Silversmith panels.
